Ahhh, summer in the mountains. A well-known secret amongst Summit County locals and Front Rangers has been the summers we relish here in the high country. Now, more than ever visitors are deciding winter is not the only time they want to be up here and the surrounding towns have responded with activities, festivals and farmers markets galore.
July 4th weekend kicks off the meat of summer fun with parades, concerts and fireworks (of course). Not to mention all of the activities available all summer like SUP (pictured below) and boat rentals at Dillon Marina and farmers markets, the Silverthorne market is my personal favorite, it’s the smallest but you get the best bang for your buck on delicious produce.
Keystone has already kicked off their summer festival season and the premier event will take place two weeks after July 4th, with Wine & Jazz. Breckenridge is taking advantage of the new arts district with multiple arts festivals in July as well. So, the only question remaining is why NOT spend your summer in the mountains?
